  • Week 10/11 is a LARGE WEEK of assignments, I highly recommend that your work daily on assignments! A total of 8 assignments!

10.6 allows you to create your own speech, there are several topics to write about at this moment. Check out mainstream news sources such as Headline News, CNN or Fox News. Consider some of the current event topics below:
  • 2014 Political Election
  • Ebola
  • Healthcare
  • Texting and Driving
  • Standardized Testing
These are issues you can easily conduct research and develop a strong argument to support your perspective!

 SpeakUP Survey Directions for Students
  1. Open the survey link here:  www.speakup4schools.org/speakup2014
  2. Select the "Take the Survey" option.
  3. Select the green circle labeled "Students".
  4. Click on the black arrow to choose a state and select North Carolina.
  5. Select the blue arrow labeled "NEXT".
  6. Type in school name "NCVPS".
  7. Select the blue arrow labeled "NEXT".
  8. Select NCVPS.
  9. Select your grade level.
  10. Type in the secret word:  ncvpssurvey 
  11. Select the LOGIN option.
  12. Start the survey by clicking on the green button.
