DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that the labor union
reform movement inspired Labor Day? During the early 1900s, workers fought to
end long hours and low pay wages among industrial workers. In 1894, Grover
Cleveland promoted this holiday to strategically end a railroad strike. Take a
moment and think about long-term advantages of providing a “Labor Day” holiday
during the industrial revolution.

- Be in complete sentences.
- Contain proper grammar and capitalization including no
lower case “I’s” or text speech
- Be descriptive and thoughtful (make sure you are
telling me something)
